An English class with nothing but plays! We'll read five amazing plays, from the pens of such greats as Shakespeare, Oscar Wilde, and Thornton Wilder. We'll even take a look at a movie script to decide how successfully Pride and Prejudice was translated to the screen. In addition to delving into motifs, symbolism, character study, and conflict, we will also discuss acting and directing choices that make scripts come alive. 

Students will supply four plays, beginning with Hamlet. Any edition will do, but students will get the most out of No Fear Shakespeare edition, available at Amazon.

The other plays will be announced later.
