New class!

Get ready for the messiest, wildest science fun—without wrecking your kitchen!
In this hands-on class, students dive into experiments that are too messy, too bubbly, or too explosive for home. We’ll make lava lamps to explore density, create foamy elephant toothpaste to learn about chemical reactions, and whip up homemade ice cream while studying states of matter. Students will stretch slime, test oobleck, and discover the strange world of non-Newtonian fluids.

We’ll wrap up the semester with potential and kinetic energy experiments—then head outside for the ultimate showdown: Which soda makes the best Mentos fountain?

Supply fee $30

Tuition: $120 / $87.60 for volunteers
