New class!

Get ready for a fast-paced journey through one of the most dramatic national transformations in history! We’ll explore how Russia leapt from absolute monarchy to Lenin’s 1917 Bolshevik Revolution, how Stalinism reshaped the nation, how the Soviet Union rose and collapsed, and how Vladimir Putin’s Russia fits into the world today.

From its massive geography to its powerful global influence, Russia is a country full of mystery, change, and big questions. This course invites students to dig into the events, ideas, and motivations that have shaped modern Russia—and to discover why this nation plays such a major role on the world stage.
