Volunteering is easy and saves money! See details here.

Ride the rails and sweep out the dust; we are going on a journey back in time to learn about the Great Depression. We will listen to the voices of the children who lived during the Depression as we dig deep into Bud, Not Buddy and Survival in the Storm, a Dear America book. These books look through the eyes of a city boy and a country girl and the climate that shaped their lives. The Great Depression will come alive for the students through discussion and active participation as well as some hands-on activities.

Students supply Bud, Not Buddy and Survival in the Storm.

Tuition: $120/$87.60 for volunteers

Supply Fee: $30
