This active class will include a brief introduction to music and the orchestra, followed by a week devoted to each musical family. During that week, we would not only discuss the instruments, but also even construct a rudimentary example that kids could then play together as part of the "Orchestra Song." Additionally, we will have a guest come in and play a real instrument.
Once we have completed that portion of the course, we will spend the rest of the class sessions practicing to perform Peter and the Wolf, complete with simple pantomime actions!
