Volunteering is easy and saves money! See details here.

In this beginner guitar class, students will learn how to read a simplified form of written guitar music (tablature) and gain enough knowledge to continue their learning with online videos once the class is completed. This foundational instruction is critical, as learning from videos without basic knowledge is frustrating.

FAMILIES SUPPLY an acoustic guitar with nylon or steel strings. Nylon strings are recommended since steel strings are harder on beginner fingertips. Recommendations: The Yamaha C40 classical guitar is a good student choice.  For a smaller student you may find a 3/4 size guitar.  Music Go Round in Lincoln has a good selection of used guitars which can be seen online and the staff there is knowledgeable and happy to help.

Tuition: $120/$87.60 for volunteers
