Ferndale Parks & Recreation proudly offers one of the region’s most exciting and inclusive youth soccer experiences, now featuring MLS GO — Major League Soccer’s official recreational league for kids!
With spring and fall seasons offered each year, our coed league provides players with the opportunity to develop skills, build confidence, and play locally in a fun, supportive atmosphere led by volunteer coaches.
Through our official partnership with MLS GO, players receive real MLS team kits (jersey, shorts, socks) and represent their favorite clubs all season long. The league is designed for all skill levels and provides structure, fun, and community through nationally branded gear and game-day experiences. Coaches select the MLS team identity for their squad, adding energy and excitement for families and players alike.
We’re also excited to offer free soccer clinics in partnership with Liverpool FC International Academy. Their MINIS program is the perfect introduction to soccer for young players, with energetic, age-appropriate sessions focused on motor skills, confidence building, and FUNdamental soccer activities. These clinics are run by LFC-trained coaches using professional curriculum and offer a welcoming first step into the sport.
Divisions Offered: 4U, 6U, 8U, 10U, 13U
Season Offerings: Spring & Fall
Practices: Held locally at Ferndale parks, set by volunteer coaches
Games: Primarily played on Saturday mornings (some Sunday finals for older divisions; 12U may include weekday games)
Volunteer Coaches: Lead all practices/games and determine schedules
Uniforms: Full MLS GO kits provided (jersey, shorts, socks)
