This is an on-demand dog safety class offered by K9 Turbo Training. Completion of this class is required to purchase a membership to the Ferndale Dog Park. Topics of discussion include body lanuage basics, healthy play, red flags and things to watch out for, and setting yourself up for success at the dog park.
For this course, you will watch a series of informational videos about the dog park. After each of the videos, you will be required to answer multiple-choice questions that correspond to each of the video sections. You must score at least an 80% on these quiz questions to complete the course.
If you fail the course and need to retake it, you may choose to immediately go through the full hour-long course again or email kheron@ferndalemi.gov to receive access to a quiz-only version of the course. There is no charge for retaking a course before the deadline, but anyone who does not complete the course within their allotted time will be required to pay a $5 fee to regain access to it the following month.
Once you have completed the course and we have received a certificate veryfying that you have passed, we will move forward with processing your application.

The licensing and vaccination information can be submitted as attachments alongside your application when you fill it out online. You may also choose to digitally provide this information by emailing the requisite documents to us at kheron@ferndalemi.gov. If you’d prefer to submit physical documentation, you can bring or mail your materials and your payment to our office at the following address:

The fee is payable via check, check, or credit card (we’d contact you once we’re ready to process payment). Checks must be made payable to the City of Ferndale.
