Description

The Culture Division offerings for our community include, but are not limited to, the Greeley History Museum, the Meeker House, the White-Plumb Farm Learning Center, and the Centennial Village Living History Museum & Campus. The Parks Division is responsible for the maintenance and care of forty-three parks and thirty-one playgrounds, managing over six hundred acres of parkland. This includes two dog parks, three skateparks, thirteen tennis courts, eleven pickleball courts, six athletic sports complexes, and the historic sixty-five-acre Linn Grove Cemetery. Additionally, the division maintains twenty-two acres at twenty-three public grounds sites, including City Hall, the Police Department, and six Fire Station locations. Parks and Forestry crews also oversee thirty right-of-way parkways and street medians, encompassing twenty and thirty-one hundredths acres of public property with over thirteen thousand trees. The Recreation Department offers a wide range of community programs, including adult and youth sports, educational classes, camps, youth enrichment programs, and adaptive inclusive recreation (AIR) for individuals of all ages and abilities. Programs also include learn-to-skate and swim lessons, as well as active adult activities. Our facilities, including the Family Funplex and the Greeley Recreation Center, feature both indoor and outdoor aquatic amenities at Centennial Park and Discovery Bay, ensuring comprehensive recreational opportunities for our residents.
