The City of Colorado Springs Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Services - Sports office offers grade based youth tackle football. 3rd/4th is the first division of tackle football offered. 2nd graders can waive into this division.

Practices begin the week of February 24

Games Begin the week of March 17

Games end no later than May 10

Price: $95.00 Taxes waived

Required age: 8 - 10 years old as of 2/24/2025

Notes: Weigh-ins for 3rd through 6th grade begin January 27th and end on February 21st. Weigh-ins take place at the Sports Office located at 1315 E. Pikes Peak Ave. 7th and 8th grade football does not weigh-in. Required equipment needed: NOCSAE approved helmet, shoulder pads, lower extremity pads to include (hip, tailbone, thigh, and knee pads), rubber molded football cleats.
