Description:
The idea of Yarn pictures made in Jute comes from the Thread Pictures done by the Huicholes, an indigenous group that lives in the Sierra between the states of Jalisco and Nayarit in Mexico. Their story is very unique as their existence was discovered only last century. Yarn pictures are very popular in Mexico. Friends give them to friends on special occasions, and in Christmas, they are a nice tradition between loved ones. Come and join us in this workshop to create holiday cards for friends and family! All Materials Provided! Teaching Artist: Susan Beitman
