Painting from a live model using a limited Zorn palette is like learning to paint by channeling the great masters like Titian, Rembrandt, and Velasquez. This practice breaks down the oil painting process into controlled stages of development. A limited palette of colours, rather than being restrictive, offers freedom of expression and the opportunity to master colour and value relationships. The skills learned in this course are transferrable to landscape and still-life painting.
