Description:
Kingston is one of the designated welcoming cities for government-sponsored refugees arriving in Canada. In this workshop, Kingstonians will be paired with newcomers. Students will learn to create art as inter-cultural communication by making a series of personalized paintings to be exchanged with their partners. Students will explore their membership in the global community while creating a personalized, welcoming environment for newcomers to Kingston through art. This program is offered in partnership with KEYS Job Centre.
