Description:

During this workshop, students will get to create an artwork in their sketchbook/on paper in the medium of their choice from a dynamic still-life arrangement. The workshop will touch upon the key building blocks of creating a successful still-life artwork: determining composition; sketching out main shapes and adjusting proportion; colour matching and rendering shadows and highlights. Students have the opportunity to create sketchbook entries in the medium they find most comfortable - this can include materials such as pencil crayon, gouache, pastel, watercolour, collage or mixed media. The instructor can provide guidance on techniques with any materials brought to the workshop!
