Do you have some experience with acrylic painting but are looking to enhance your skills? This class will build on what is learned in "Acrylics for Beginners," and you will explore abstraction, work with limited brushstrokes, study and create various compositions, re-create a master's painting, and work on a personal series.

Notes: Recommonded Materials List: Supports – 3 – 9x12 (or similar size) canvas or wood panel 3 – slightly larger students choice size of canvas or wood panel (for independent series project) 1 pad of watercolour paper (at least 16 sheets) Paint – I recommend Tri Art Rheotech student acrylic in the following colours: White (larger container of white) Cadmium yellow pale hue Lemon yellow Yellow ochre Phthalo blue Ultramarine blue Cadmium red medium hue Crimson Magenta Burnt umber Palette – To make my own “stay wet” acrylic container (and so it can be transported to and from class), I use 2 cookie sheets, paper towel, parchment paper and large binder clips(4) (to clip the 2 cookie sheets together (this will be explained and an example will be shown on the first class). Brushes – A variety of sizes of synthetic brushes work well. Inexpensive sets can be purchased at Dollarama. Other - Some sort of cady or tote to carry all your supplies.
