Description:

Students will explore a variety of styles, techniques, and skills to create a series of landscape paintings celebrating the beauty of Vancouver Island. Along the way, they’ll be introduced to the elements and principles of design and learn how artists use these to build strong, engaging compositions. Through guided lessons, each student will complete a collection of paintings to share with family and friends.
 

Instructor: Lisa Balcombe is a retired Art, Math and Special Education teacher who is excited to share
her passion for painting with the Elder College community. Lisa is also an artist hoping to create art that brings joy to others. When not painting, Lisa loves to hike the beautiful trails on Vancouver Island and can be found on the ocean with her outrigger paddling friends.
