Description:

An exploration of the work (in architecture, sculpture, painting and literature) of four friends (Brunelleschi, Donatello, Masaccio and Alberti)  who initiated the Italian Renaissance. Participants will be encouraged to share their responses to the images presented.

Instructor: John Black, professor emeritus in Liberal Studies (VIU), has taught numerous art-history courses for Elder College, and leads related tours to Europe with the educational travel non-profit Adventures in Mind.
