Program Description: There’s so much more to bees than honey! 🌼 Did you know New York is home to over 400 species of native bees? Join Ranger Emma for a fun and fascinating workshop all about the unsung heroes of our ecosystems—our native bees. You’ll learn how to tell the difference between honeybees, bumblebees, and solitary native bees, and why these lesser-known pollinators are so important to the health of our gardens, farms, and wild spaces. What’s the buzz all about? While this is a demonstration-based workshop and participants won’t be making their own bee hotels on-site, you’ll leave with the knowledge and inspiration to create one at home! Perfect for curious nature-lovers, gardeners, and pollinator protectors of all ages.
