Program Description:

This class is designed specifically for beginner and novice photographers who want to sharpen their skills in capturing the beauty of the natural world. Whether you’re using a smartphone, a point-and-shoot, or a DSLR camera, the course offers practical tips to help you take better photos.

We’ll cover fundamental photography concepts like depth of field, the rule of thirds, lighting, and composition—explained in a clear, easy-to-follow way. By the end of the session, participants will walk away with the tools and confidence to start taking more visually compelling photos.

About the Teacher:

Chris Paparo—better known as @fishguyphotos—is a marine biologist, underwater photographer, and passionate advocate for Long Island’s coastal waters. Through stunning imagery and engaging storytelling, he reveals the hidden life beneath the surface and inspires audiences to better understand and protect our local marine ecosystems.
