Description:
Program Description: Ignite your survival skills with our Friction-Based Fire Making Workshop, one of our most requested and exhilarating classes! Step into the ancient world of firecraft while learning the ancient art of conjuring flames from the raw elements of nature. This workshop is dedicated to the hands-on exploration of friction-based techniques, where you'll learn to transform simple materials like wood, cordage, and your own determination into a comforting campfire. You will learn how to gather kindling, different techniques to place firewood, and how to turn your ember into a flame. Whether you're a beginner or looking to refine your skills, this workshop will kindle a deeper connection with the most elemental of survival skills. About the Teacher: Michael A. Evans, brings years of expertise in experiential learning, ancestral skills, and holistic education to every workshop he leads. Through innovative programs like Forgotten Skillz, Ninja Née, and Vision Martial Arts, he blends science, history, and hands-on discovery to make survival knowledge engaging, practical, and empowering. Participants can expect an energetic, immersive experience that sparks curiosity, builds confidence, and connects them to the skills humans have relied on for generations. This is the third of ten "stand-alone" workshops.
