Creating Pottery for the Anagama Kiln February Session | Thursdays | February 5 - February 26 | 4 weeks | 6:30 - 9 pm | Ages 14+ Get ready to fire up the Anagama kiln! 4-week session: $150 | 10% discount for an additional 4-week session in March —Register for your first session, and you’ll receive a 10% discount code by email for future sessions! Firing Schedule: Load Day: April 11 Preheat: April 12–13 Low Fire: April 13–15 Final Firing Complete: by April 18 Unload Celebration: May 2, 2026 A detailed schedule for firing shifts will be shared closer to the event—dates subject to change due to kiln conditions. Instructors: Jonas Hurley Program Policies: Refunds, Credits, and Scholarships While we’re unable to provide refunds, a class credit will be issued if a class is cancelled, which you can apply to other art classes or Open Studio sessions. If you or your child cannot attend due to illness (with a doctor’s note), we’re happy to offer a full class credit. For individual missed sessions in multi-week classes, we’re unable to provide credits, but you may choose to donate your credit to support children’s programming scholarships. Join us as we prepare for the historic April 2026 firing of the newly restored Anagama kiln. Learn wheel-throwing, trimming, and forming techniques using a special clay body designed for atmospheric wood firing.
Clay, glazes, and firing are included. All levels welcome!

Notes: This class takes place in the Ceramic Studio, located in the basement of the GLASS Museum at 401 West Main Street. To access the studio, enter through the back of the museum via the parking lot and take the steps down to the basement level.
