Description:
Beginning and Intermediate Pottery | Tuesdays, November 4–December 9 | 6:30–8:30 PM Discover the art of pottery in this fun, hands-on class designed for both beginners and intermediate potters! Throughout this workshop, you’ll create 3–4 beautifully finished projects, including a mug (with handles!), a bowl, and a project of your choice. Each piece will be trimmed and glazed, resulting in beautiful, functional pottery! You’ll learn foundational wheel-throwing techniques, explore the process of attaching handles, trimming, and dive into glazing to add the perfect finishing touch to your creations. Whether you’re just starting out or honing your skills, this class offers personalized instruction and plenty of studio time to help you succeed. What to Expect: Instructors: Joseph Eastham Join us and experience the joy of creating functional, beautiful pottery while building your skills in a supportive and creative environment! Program Policies: Refunds, Credits, and Scholarships While we’re unable to provide refunds, a class credit will be issued if a class is cancelled, which you can apply to other art classes or Open Studio sessions. If you or your child cannot attend due to illness (with a doctor’s note), we’re happy to offer a full class credit. For individual missed sessions in multi-week classes, we’re unable to provide credits, but you may choose to donate your credit to support children’s programming scholarships. We appreciate your understanding! Scholarships are available based on financial need, space, and funding. Notes: This class takes place in the Ceramic Studio, located in the basement of the GLASS Museum at 401 West Main Street. To access the studio, enter through the back of the museum via the parking lot and take the steps down to the basement level.
