Mondays | June 2nd-July 7th | Pottery Wheel & Handbuilding | 2:00 PM to 4:00 pm | Ages 12-17 (Grades 6-12)

Discover the art of pottery on the wheel in our 6-session Tween and Teen Pottery Class! Immerse yourself in the world of wheel-throwing as you craft a cylinder, the base for creations like mugs or succulent bowls. Through refining techniques such as shaping, trimming, and glazing, participants will build confidence and transform their pottery visions into reality. Join us for a hands-on journey where pottery takes center stage!

Program Policies: Cancellations, Transfers, and Scholarships

Please note that we do not provide refunds for summer camps or classes. Instead, if a program is canceled by the Art Center, we’ll issue a full credit that can be used for future camps, art classes, or Open Studio sessions.

If you or your child are unable to attend due to illness (with a doctor’s note), we’re happy to issue a full credit so you can enjoy a class or camp at a later time. Just let us know as soon as possible. 

Please note that we’re unable to offer credits for missed days in weekly camps or multi-week sessions.

If you’re unable to use your credit, or if you prefer, you can donate it to our scholarship fund, which helps provide art opportunities for children in our community.

Notes: Camp is held in the Ceramic Studio located in the basement area of 401 (Glass Museum).

Prerequisites: No experience necessary.
