Course Description:
This course furthers students’ understanding of the processes that occur in biological systems. Students will study theory and conduct investigations in the areas of biodiversity; evolution; genetic processes; the structure and function of animals; and the anatomy, growth, and function of plants. The course focuses on the theoretical aspects of the topics under study, and helps students refine skills related to scientific investigation.

Laboratory experiments introduce, reinforce and extend theory covered in class. Various activities also introduce problem-solving techniques and the concept of experimental error and uncertainty. Students should possess an enquiring nature and good thinking, listening, speaking, reading and writing skills and be comfortable working with others.

Class Schedule:
Monday to Friday: 8:30am to 4:00pm with a 60-min lunch and two 15-min breaks

End Date: Friday, July 17, 2026

Note: There will not be any classes on Wednesday, July 1st due to the Canada Day holiday

Price: $1,750.00 Taxes waived

Required age: 13 - 21 years old as of 12/31/2026

Notes: Lunch is included for all credit course registrations. Our dining room provides healthy and delicious meals with a variety of choices. Special dietary needs are supported by our Food Services team.
