Description:

This academic workshop is intended for incoming Grade 6, 7, and 8 students.

This is a half day workshop focusing on Math from 9:00am to 12:00pm, with lunch included from 12:00pm to 1:00pm. 

This half day math workshop will immerse students in a supportive and interactive math environment.

This workshop is designed for students who want to strengthen their mathematical foundation and approach the new school year with confidence.  Each session features a blend of direct instruction, collaborative problem-solving, and hands-on activities.

Students will review essential concepts such as whole numbers, decimals, fractions, and number theory, as well as practice mental math strategies and critical thinking. Teachers will provide step-by-step guidance and encourage students to ask questions, work in small groups, and tackle real-life math challenges.

By the end of the week, students will have greater confidence in their math abilities, improved problem-solving skills, and a toolkit of strategies to help them succeed in the year ahead.

Note: There will not be any sessions on Wednesday, July 1st due to the Canada Day holiday

Required age: 10 - 14 years old as of 12/31/2026

Notes: Lunch is included. Our dining room provides healthy and delicious meals with a variety of choices. Special dietary needs are supported by our Food Services team.
