Description:
The Kids Nerf Battle Night is an exciting and action-packed event designed for kids to unleash their energy in a safe and fun environment. The evening is filled with fast-paced, adrenaline-pumping Nerf battles, where participants arm themselves with foam dart blasters and dive into thrilling team-based games. The venue is typically transformed into an imaginative battlefield, that the kids create! Players will be given objects to build forts all around the school gym and will use those forts to protect themselves in battle!
Kids are divided into teams, wearing colorful vests or bandanas to signify their squads and engage in a variety of game modes like Capture the Flag, Last Kid Standing, and Team Elimination. To keep the energy high, there are short breaks between rounds for refreshments, giving everyone a chance to catch their breath and rearm their blasters. Pizza and a movie is provided.
Safety is a top priority, with all participants required to wear protective goggles, and the event is closely supervised by staff to ensure everyone plays fair and has a great time. At the end of the night, there may be awards or small prizes for team spirit, the most daring moves, or the coolest Nerf blaster.
You are allowed to bring your own nerf blasters and darts. All blasters and darts must be approved by the event staff. A limited amount of blasters and darts are provided.
Required age: 8 - 13 years old on the day of the activity
Notes: The pizza that will be ordered is cheese and pepperoni pizza from Dominos Pizza. If you need to cancel, please email lherron@avon.org
Prerequisites: Nerf Battle Rules 1. Safety First: - All participants must wear protective eyewear during gameplay. - No physical contact (pushing, hitting, or grabbing). - Only Nerf blasters and foam darts are allowed—no homemade or modified weapons. - Stay aware of your surroundings to avoid accidents. 2. Boundaries: - The play area is clearly defined before the game starts. Players must remain within these boundaries. - Leaving the boundary results in elimination or a penalty, depending on the game mode. 3. Ammo Rules: - Players must use only standard Nerf darts (no custom or weighted darts allowed). - Players can collect ammo from the ground during gameplay unless otherwise stated by game mode rules. - Running out of ammo does not eliminate you unless specified in the game mode. 4. Elimination Rules: - A player is eliminated when hit by a dart. Hits to the body, arms, or legs count as eliminations. - Hits to the Nerf blaster or the player's head (if accidental) count as eliminations. - After being hit, players must raise their hand, call out "Hit!" or "Out!", and exit to the designated respawn or waiting area. 5. Respawn and Medics (if applicable): - In games that allow respawning, players must wait in a designated "respawn zone" for a set time (e.g., 30 seconds) before re-entering. - Some game modes may include "medics" who can revive downed teammates by touching them, allowing them to rejoin the game without returning to the respawn area. 6. Honesty and Sportsmanship: - Players must call their hits honestly. Cheating or not acknowledging a hit can result in penalties or disqualification. - Be respectful to other players. Poor sportsmanship or unsportsmanlike behavior (e.g., taunting, name-calling) will result in removal from the game. -Listen to the game referee and follow all their rules. If the referee calls you out you must leave the play area and wait in the designated “respawn zone” -Do not argue or fight with the game referee, arguments and unsportsmanlike behavior could result in disciplinary action 7. Blaster and Equipment Rules: - All blasters must be stock or lightly modified for aesthetics or comfort only (no power mods). - Players may carry as many blasters and darts as they want, but safety must be maintained at all times. -Players are allowed to bring their own blasters but must be approved by an event staff 8. Game Modes and Objectives: - Capture the Flag: Teams must retrieve the opposing team's flag and return it to their base without being hit. - Team Elimination: The last team with remaining players wins. - Free-for-All: Every player for themselves; the last person standing wins. - Zombie Mode: One player starts as a "zombie." When others are hit, they become zombies until all are turned. 9. Time Limits: - Each game has a set time limit, depending on the game mode. A whistle or sound will signal the end of the game. 10. Referees: - Referees or moderators ensure the rules are followed, resolve disputes, and ensure safety. Their decisions are final. 11. No Close-Range Firing: - Avoid shooting players at close range. Instead, tag them with your hand or move back to a safe distance. 12. Respect the Environment: - Play only in designated areas and avoid damaging property or the environment. Clean up darts and equipment after the game. These rules ensure that everyone enjoys a fun, safe, and fair Nerf battle experience!
