The School of Ballet 5:8 offers professional ballet training rooted in classical technique, nurturing artistry and character in every dancer.
Description
The School of Ballet 5:8 provides classical ballet training for students of all ages and skill levels. Founded by Choreographer and Artistic Director Julianna Rubio Slager, the school is committed to developing the whole dancer—body, mind, and spirit—through a curriculum that combines classical technique with intentional mentorship. Our training emphasizes discipline, creativity, and integrity while preparing dancers for success in both professional and academic settings. From the Preparatory Program to the nationally recognized Pre-Professional and Conservatory divisions, each class is designed to meet dancers where they are and guide them forward with excellence. Our faculty includes experienced professionals who care deeply about the personal and artistic growth of each student. We believe that every dancer has a unique story to tell—and we’re here to help them tell it with courage, grace, and strength. Located in Chicago's south suburbs in Orland Park and Beverly Illinois, The School of Ballet 5:8 is also home to a vibrant adult ballet program, summer intensives, and a Second Company of emerging professional artists. Whether your dancer is just beginning or pursuing a professional career, we offer a path forward grounded in classical ballet and enriched by strong values and supportive community. Join a school where technique meets purpose, and where young artists are formed with vision, resilience, and heart.
