In this thrilling program, students will use their skills to design and build robots inspired by Jurassic-era creatures—from crawling Allies to roaring T-Rexes—using advanced building techniques, specialized mechanisms, and creative programming strategies. Each day offers more challenges, from exploring prehistoric motorized movements to collaborating in exciting group projects, all culminating in a showcase where students bring their Jurassic-themed robots to life!

Target Students:

Returning students who have completed our previous VEX IQ robotics camps or have equivalent VEX IQ experience. Intermediate to advanced learners comfortable with basic robot assembly, coding, and problem-solving. Robotics enthusiasts seeking a fresh set of challenges with a creative, Jurassic-themed twist.

Learning Outcome:

Throughout this camp, participants will delve into the fascinating realm of robots in real-world applications as well as build, program, and drive robots themselves. They will learn about the various components that make up robots, explore the engineering design process, and engage in hands-on activities and challenges. Our project based learning robotics camp is designed to ignite curiosity, foster problem-solving skills, and inspire creativity in the field of robotics.

Daily Camp Schedule:

9 AM: Camper Drop Off & Sign In
9 AM-12 PM: AM Class
12 PM-1 PM: Lunch & Supervised Recess
1 PM-3 PM: PM Class 
3 PM: Camper Pick-up & Sign Out
3 PM-5 PM: Extended Care (Optional)

Lunch Provision:

Students are encouraged to bring their lunch. A microwave is available for heating food. Blaze Robotics Academy will provide lunch for an additional fee of $50.00/week.

Cancellation Policy:

You may choose between two refund options: a 100% refund minus a 3% processing fee (plus any applicable taxes) if requested at least 30 days before the activity begins, or a 100% credit that can be applied to future programs, available until the activity starts. If your student cannot attend the program due to illness or an emergency, please contact our staff to discuss transferring to a different session or program. In the event that Blaze Robotics Academy cancels the program, you will receive a full refund of the fees paid.
