Description:
We invite Boulder's 50+ Jewish community to celebrate Tu B’Shevat, the Birthday of the Trees. A beautifully catered shabbat dinner will be provided and will include a special tasting of fruits and grains that are symbolic of the Tu B’Shevat holiday. In honor of the birthday of the trees, please participate in a plant exchange. Bring a small potted plant or a cutting of a house plant to trade with a fellow participant.
Required age: Over 50 years old on the day of the activity
Notes: To prepare cuttings for a plant swap, take clean cuts below a node, remove lower leaves, keep them hydrated with a damp paper towel or in water, and package them with clear labels including plant names and care tips (light, water) in a box, often using small pots or bags for transport to ensure they arrive healthy and ready for their new owners
