Non-profit focusing on watershed conservation, environmental education and land preservation in the Brandywine and Red Clay Creek Watersheds.
Description
Brandywine Red Clay Alliance (BRC) is the oldest small watershed organization in the country. We own nearly 1,100 acres with 6 preserves that are open to the public including the 316-acre Myrick Conservation Center and the 43-acre Chandler Mill Nature Preserve which serve as hubs for our summer camp programs. In addition, we hold conservation easements on over 1,300 acres of permanently preserved land. BRC is dedicated to promoting the restoration, conservation, and enjoyment of the natural resources in the Brandywine and Red Clay Creek Watersheds through education, scientific activities, environmental stewardship, and advocacy. BRC is supported through membership dues and private donations.
