CEF Fall Scholastic Tournament

Where: Atherton High School 3000 Dundee Rd, Louisville, KY 40205

When: November 16, 2024

           8:00 AM    Round 1 begins at 9:00 AM
           NO ON SITE ENTRIES - Register in advance if you want to participate.
           We expect most players will be finished before 1:30 – 2:00 PM

Players must have a US Chess Membership to play.  You can sign up online or at https://new.uschess.org/join-us-chess
The K-1 and K-3 sections will be designated as “learning sections” meaning that tournament directors will be empowered to explain rules and help players understand legal moves.

Sections and time controls:

K-1 Learning, K-3 Learning Sections: 5 rounds maximum, G/25;d5
K-5, K-8/K-12: 5 rounds maximum, G/25;d5 (sections may merge)

NOTE: Sections may be merged if necessary.  The number of rounds may be altered based on turnout.
You can play in higher sections than your grade but not lower sections!

Entry Fee: $35 per player online
Online registration closes 11/15/2023 at 7:00 pm.

Required age: 4 - 19 years old on the day of the activity
