Description:

December theme: Who's Ready for Winter?

Let's talk about animals! What do they do during winter?

Join us for hands-on fun and exploratory activities with your child around the Nature Center- We will talk about the different ways animals have adapted to winter weather, make nature-spotter binoculars, create a simple birdfeeder and take a nature hike!

Class will be held outside, weather permitting, at the Lakeside Nature Center Shelter, with a walk through the woods so dress accordingly.

Children are naturally curious-help grow that sense of wonder into a greater appreciation for the natural world around them, while building personal-social skills. Explore, discover and create with your child hands-on, nature-based activities every month during our new program Little Sprouts is geared toward 2-5 year olds and their caregiver, and held at Lakeside Nature Center.  This will be a year-round program, with monthly themed activities
