Description:

(Ages 7 - 12) Spend spring break horseback riding, hiking, learning about farm animals, doing art projects, and hanging out in a barn with other kids! 

What to bring:

  • Please dress in layers for weather.
  • Two snacks, a lunch, and a water bottle.
  • Required clothing items: long pants, closed - toed shoes, riding boots with a heel, and an ASTMI/SEI certified horseback riding helmet.
  • Gardening gloves and waterproof footwear are recommended.

Campers will spend lots of time with the animals and outside. Outdoor recreation and interaction with animals are shown to dramatically lower anxiety, increase empathy, and increase mental well - being. The camp curriculum includes natural sciences principles such as biology and ecology, animal care, and promotes physical exercise, teamwork, and personal confidence. A perfect camp experience for kids that are newer to horseback riding, love animals and the outdoors!

Refund Policy:

Cancellations received at least 7 days prior to activity start date receive a full refund, minus a 10% processing fee. Cancellations received less than 7 days prior to activity start date receive a 50% refund. There are no refunds for cancellations received less than 24 hours before start time. Exceptions can be made for illness.

Notes: Thank you for registering for Farm and Horse Spring Break Camp! A change of clothes, extra socks, and rain gear (pants and coat) are recommended. Where to Park: Please park in the main south parking lot at Farrel - McWhirter Park off of NE Redmond Road. GPS can be unreliable in this area. Consider using the Park name rather than the address to navigate to the Park.
