(Ages 6-12) Minecraft isn't just the world's most popular game; it's also an excellent tool for teaching a wide array of subjects. At Athena, we've developed a project based approach to a variety of important topics using Minecraft Educational; our course will cover Personalized Game Design, Animation and storytelling, Programming in Python and Javascript, Architecture and design, The fundamentals of electrical circuitry using Minecraft's patented Redstone circuit system, Logic gates, multi-system mechanisms, Modding and more! At the end of this course, students take home a 3D printed design. Laptop, iPad, or Chromebook required. Rentals can be provided for a $40 fee.

Kids can gain a lot from playing Minecraft and learning coding, as both activities encourage creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking. Minecraft’s hands-on approach combined with coding skills helps kids develop a solid understanding of technology, all while having fun and unleashing their creativity! All skill levels are welcome. No experience is required.

• Laptop, iPad or Chromebook required (rentals available for $40).

Refund and Transfer Policy: 

Cancellations and transfer requests received at least 7 days prior to the activity start date receive a full refund of activity fees, minus a 10% processing fee. Cancellations or transfers received less than 7 days prior to activity start date receive a 50% refund of activity fee, or 50% of activity fee transferred to a future program. No refunds are issued for cancellations received less than 3 days before the start date. The credit card processing fee is nonrefundable. Exceptions can be made for illness.
