Description:

(Ages 18+) Acquire skills in representing three-dimensional shapes, forms, shading, value/tone, proportions, texture, and contour while using graphite pencils. Learn how to create realistic drawings from photos and still life. Instruction of special techniques will be offered to enhance the work produced each week. New subjects are offered for every class building on a participant's knowledge and success in pencil drawing. No previous experience required. All levels welcome.

Supply List: 

• Pencils: Drawing pencil set with at least H, HB, 2B, 4B, 6B, 8B 
• Sketch Pad size 9 x12
• Vinyl Eraser
• Pencil sharpener
• Blending stump
• Paint Brush (inexpensive soft bristle brush such as used to paint walls, furniture - not an artist brush
• Ruler (standard 12 inch that shows centimeters and inches)

Refund and Transfer Policy:

Cancellations and transfer requests received at least 7 days prior to activity start date receive a full refund of activity fees, minus a 10% processing fee. Cancellations or transfers received less than 7 days prior to activity start date receive a 50% refund of activity fee, or 50% of activity fee transferred to a future program. There are no refunds for cancellations received less than 3 business days before start date. The credit card processing fee is nonrefundable.  Exceptions can be made for illness.
