(Ages 18+) The ukulele continues to gain popularity across all ages! It's fun to play, easy to carry, and anyone, no matter what age or musical experience, can become a ukulele player! This encouraging class will have you playing with confidence and experiencing the joy of making music in your group of fellow ukulele players!

Join ukulele teacher, Ilene, in this 8-week beginner group class for adults ages 18 and up. This course will teach the foundations of playing the ukulele, from how to properly hold the instrument, to tuning it up, to chords, strumming patterns, and more.

Please bring your ukulele to class, If you need to purchase a ukulele and would like advice on which one to buy, please send an email to seniors@redmond.gov and we will have the instructor provide guidance. Cancellations and transfer requests received at least 7 days prior to the activity start date receive a full refund of activity fees, minus a 10% processing fee. Cancellations or transfers received less than 7 days prior to activity start date receive a 50% refund of activity fee, or 50% of activity fee transferred to a future program. No refunds are issued for cancellations received less than 3 business days before the start date. The credit card processing fee is nonrefundable. Exceptions can be made for illness.
