Description:

(Ages 5-18) We invite youth musicians ages 5-18 to compete in the annual Battle of the Bands competition!

• Up to 12 bands will compete in the Battle of the Bands at the Redmond Senior and Community Center on Friday, June 27.
• The winner will perform on the Main Stage at Derby Days on Saturday, July 12. 
• All musicians must be available on Jun 20 and July 12.
• All musicians must be in high school graduation year 2025 or younger.
• Musicians may only participate in one competing band.
• Bands will need to arrive at the designated sound check time usually 1 hour before the show.

Music: Bands should be prepared to play up to three songs that take no more than 10 minutes total for the preliminary round. Original music is not required, but always encouraged. All music must be family-friendly in content and language, or the band will be disqualified.

What to Bring: Please bring your own instruments, amps, and your showmanship! Some equipment may be available upon advance request. Friends and family are encouraged to attend all events at no cost.

Judges: Competition judges will be assigned by the Parks and Recreation Department.

Registration: Registration is online. Please fill out one application per band.
