(All Ages) Ready for an outdoor activity that exercises both your mind and your body? Try Orienteering! Farrel-McWhirter Park offers a permanent orienteering course that combines four distinct areas of open ground, flat trails, dense fields, and hillside wooded trails with clear contours. A great way to get outside and enjoy the beauty of the Pacific Northwest while staying close to home! To complete the Orienteering Course you will need to dress for the weather, wear sturdy shoes, and print a copy of the Orienteering Map & Control Descriptions, found here: Orienteering Map & Control Descriptions

You will also need a compass to complete the orienteering course. An orienteering compass can be purchased online or at local stores that sell outdoor gear; there are also compass apps that can be downloaded to your smartphone.

A limited supply of compasses are available to borrow from Farrel-McWhirter Park at no charge and can be reserved with advance notice by emailing cjohnson@redmond.gov or calling 425-556-2393.

Refund and Transfer Policy: Cancellations and transfer requests received at least 7 days prior to activity start date receive a full refund of activity fees, minus a 10% processing fee. Cancellations or transfers received less than 7 days prior to activity start date receive a 50% refund of activity fee, or 50% of activity fee transferred to a future program. There are no refunds for cancellations received less than 3 business days before start date. The credit card processing fee is nonrefundable. Exceptions can be made for illness.
