Salida Arts & Culture Creative District Program presents Graphics and Prints with Merry Cox & Thordis Simonsen. Explore graphics and print making with two renowned artists who live in Salida. Thordis Niela Simonsen, founding director and curator of the Museum of Authenticity, an intimate museum of art & culture in downtown Salida; and multimedia artist Merry Cox who works with found objects, fiber, and printing. Children will explore several different printing methods and create black/white graphic representations of a colorful image as they come to appreciate the unique qualities of two contrasting avenues of self-expression. On Thursday, the color image will be displayed alongside the black/white image that it inspired along with all of their prints created throughout the week. A walking field trip to the Musem of Authenticity is part of the program.

Notes: To bring each day: Campers need to bring a cold lunch, two snacks, a water bottle, sunhat, apply sunscreen, and dress for painting and play each day. We get messy, so do not wear your best clothes!
