Salida Arts & Culture Creative District Program presents MASK MAKING WITH KRISTA JARVIS. Explore the theatrical and dramatic form of mask making with artist Krista Jarvis. From Asia to Africa, Europe and the US, students will explore masks from other cultures and theatrical companies and get inspired to create their own. Students will use multiple mediums such as paper mâché, cardboard, found objects and more to display in a dramatic showcase on Thursday. Theatre artist and educator Krista Jarvis has designed costumes and sets for numerous companies locally and internationally. Krista studied at Art Gymnasium of Cyril and Method, assisting for Teatro Tatro Marionette Theater, and she is a founder/ manager of Salida’s Community Costumes.

Notes: To bring each day: Campers need to bring a cold lunch, two snacks, a water bottle, sunhat, apply sunscreen, and dress for painting and play each day. We get messy, so do not wear your best clothes!
