Salida Arts & Culture Creative Dsitrict Program presents FOUND OBJECT STOP MOTION WITH KAT BEEN. Campers delve into creative storytelling using art and found objects! Clay, puppets, or found objects become the main characters as stories unfold frame by frame. Explore favorite techniques from local artist and illustrator Kat Been such as stuffed animals and wire, characters of clay, or objects from nature you thought were inanimate. We will soak up inspiration as we view examples from other stop motion artists, explore materials, and create our own stories to share with family and friends in photos and short film! Stories are all around us!

Required age: 8 - 10 years old on the day of the activity

Notes: To bring each day: Campers need to bring a cold lunch, two snacks, a water bottle, sunhat, apply sunscreen, and dress for painting and play each day. We get messy, so do not wear your best clothes!
