Red Cross Babysitter Training

with Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED Certification:


This blended learning course prepares youth ages 11-16 to safely and confidently care for children and infants.

It includes hands-on activities, videos, and discussions to develop essential, real-life readiness babysitting skills.
The course covers feeding, diapering, picking up and holding children, safety, and emergency response.

To complement your child care training, this class will also include a Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED certification course.

These courses can not only help build your skills and your resume but can allow you to safely help others in times of need.

Participants receive a Babysitter's Training certificate (good for 10 years) and a Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED certificate (good for 2 years) upon completion.

Successful course completion requirements. 

  • Successfully complete the online session.

  • Attend and participate in all class sessions. 

  • Participate in all skill practices. 

  • Demonstrate competency in all required skills. 

  • Successfully complete all assessment scenarios.

Notes: Your child will be required to complete an at-home portion of online learning BEFORE the in-person class. You will receive a link one week prior to the in-person class date.
