Important information

Welcome to the May/June 2025 Session at C3! Please read this information before signing up for a session class. We are delighted to be running a 9-week session of classes for Youth and Adults. We hope you will join us!

AFTER READING, SCROLL DOWN TO SEE ALL OUR CLASS OPTIONS!

*At C3, we primarily run classes in multi-week terms we call sessions. Session classes meet on the same day and at the same time each week for the dates within the session, unless otherwise noted. Use the registration links below to sign up for all 9 weeks of class for the upcoming session (4/28-6/29).

For information about drop-in registration, please see the —Drop-in Classes— section below.

— Session Dates & Registration Timing —

  • MAY/JUNE 2025 YOUTH AND ADULT SESSION DATES: Monday, 4/28 - Sunday, 6/29 (9 weeks)
  • NO CLASSES on the following holidays:
    • Memorial Day Weekend: Saturday, 5/24 - Monday, 5/26
    • Juneteenth: Thursday, 6/19
    • Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Thursday classes meet only 8 times and are prorated accordingly.
    • On Saturday, 6/14 we will have our student show. This means that all afternoon classes that start at 1pm or later will not meet that day. They are prorated accordingly.
  • Session registration opens on Saturday, 4/5 at 1pm and closes on Sunday, 5/4.
    • Signing up for a session class will reserve your spot in the class for all 9 weeks of the session.
    • If your desired class is full, please put yourself on the waitlist to be notified if a spot opens up. Waitlists indicate to us which programs need to grow, and where we should consider adding to the schedule in the future.
At C3, the waitlist is unranked. If spots become available, they are released to everyone on the list at the same time.
    • Classes that are underenrolled may be taken down from the schedule before the registration period ends, so we encourage you to register early for your desired classes to ensure they run!
  • Individual drop-in classes, if available, will open for registration on Monday, 5/5 by the end of the day. For more information on drop-in registration, see the —Drop-in Classes— section below.
  • To learn about newly posted programming, follow C3 on Facebookjoin the C3 Students Facebook Groupfollow C3 on Instagram, or sign up for the C3 newsletter on the homepage of our website at www.commonwealthcircus.com.

— Class Levels —

Classes are sometimes listed by level (e.g., 101, 201, 301). Prerequisites, if applicable, are listed for each class. If you are curious if a class is a good fit for you in terms of level, please email us at us at info@commonwealthcircus.com and we'd be happy to chat!

  • Most of our youth classes, and any class labeled All Levels, are designed to accommodate students of all levels, beginner to experienced.
  • New students are welcome! If you are a new student, sign up for classes labeled 101All Levels, or Intro, which have no prerequisites.
  • If you have prior circus experience but are new to the studio, please contact us at info@commonwealthcircus.com before registering to determine which level of class might be best for you!

— Missed Class Make-Up Policy —

Please take a moment to review our full studio policies, which include information on how to manage planned absences and how to use make-up classes. Please familiarize yourself with the policy surrounding missed classes and making up classes in advance of the start of the session.

**PLEASE NOTE: C3 does not guarantee that there will be spaces available in specific classes or practice times for students to make up missed classes. Classes are often very full; this make-up option is offered as a courtesy, not as a guarantee.**

  • Instructions and policies for using make-up credits are detailed on our Policies page.
  • Students may sign themselves out of any class(es) they will miss. If a student signs out at least 4 hours before class start time, they will receive a make-up credit for the missed class. All students may receive up to TWO make-up credits for the session.
  • Make-up credits are only valid during the same session as the missed class. Any unused May/June 2025 Session make-up credits will expire on Sunday, 6/29.
  • Make-up credits may be used to:
    • Attend another in-studio class listed on the Drop-in Classes calendar, which will be posted on our Registration page by the end of the day on Monday, 5/5.
    • Attend Open Playtime (for students ages 5 and under), or Open Studio (for students 16+). Days and times for playtime and open studio are listed in the registration sections below, and future dates will be made available for sign-up on the Drop-in Classes calendar.
  • If, after reading our Policies page, you have any remaining questions about make-up classes, or need assistance with make-up classes, please email us at info@commonwealthcircus.com.
  • To receive a make-up credit for a missed class in the first week of the session (before 5/5 when the Drop-in Classes calendar is posted), please email us ahead of the absence at info@commonwealthcircus.com.

— Drop-in Classes —

This page is for registration for session classes, meeting once a week for all 9 weeks of the session (4/28-6/29). On Monday, 5/5 (the second Monday of the session), any remaining spots in session classes will be made available as drop-in classes.

  • Any unclaimed session class spots, if available, will be posted as drop-in classes on the Drop-in Classes calendar, which will be linked on our Registration page by the end of the day on Monday, 5/5.
  • Drop-in classes will be available for individual purchase, or for use as make-up classes. Instructions and policies for registering for drop-in classes using make-up credits are detailed on our Policies page. Please see the Policies page and the —Missed Class Make-Up Policy— section above for more information about using make-up credits.
  • PLEASE NOTE: C3 does not guarantee that there will be spaces available in specific classes. Classes are often very full; this option is offered as a courtesy, not as a guarantee.

— The Scholarship Fund —

Let's help make circus more accessible to all people in our community!

In an effort to continue expanding access to circus education here in our city, we offer the opportunity for community members to donate to a scholarship fund during the checkout process for their own classes. The funds we collect go directly to Circus Up, a social circus organization we support and frequently partner with. We believe in, and are happy to be part of, this project which is helping circus be more diverse, inclusive, and accessible! With these funds (alongside other sources of funding), Circus Up's scholarship committee administers a scholarship fund that is open for prospective circus students of all ages and experience levels. Learn more about this scholarship fund and how to apply by following this link: https://www.circusup.com/scholarships.

Exciting news! Every person who donates while registering for the May-June session will get a custom sticker that says: I am a circus friend! If you can, you can donate to this fund or spread the word! Your donation will help support students of all ages in pursuit of circus educational opportunities, here at C3 and beyond!

— Refund, Cancelation, & Injury Policy —

  • Students who wish to drop out of the entire session after they have registered, but before Monday, 4/28 (the first Monday of the session), will be charged a 50% cancelation fee. Refunds for session classes after Monday, 4/28 are granted only in the case of extraordinary circumstances and at the discretion of C3 management. Please check your schedule before signing up for classes.
  • Refunds are not given for failure to attend, absence, sick days, previous injury, or participant dismissal due to unsafe behavior.
  • All refunds are subject to a 5% administrative fee.
  • All registrations and make-up credits are non-transferable, meaning only the student who is signed up may use them.
    • During the session registration period (Saturday 4/5 - Sunday 5/4), session registrations may be transferred to another account member within the same Amilia account for a 3% fee. When registration closes on Sunday, 5/4, session registrations are no longer transferable.
