Description:

Discover the exciting world of projection mapping in this hands-on introductory workshop designed for artists, musicians, designers, educators, makers, and anyone curious about immersive visual technology.

Students will learn the fundamental concepts behind projection mapping, including how projectors, digital content, and physical surfaces work together to create dynamic visual experiences. Throughout the workshop, participants will work in small groups to build simple two-dimensional structures from foam materials provided during class and learn how to map visual content onto those surfaces using professional projection mapping software.

By the end of the workshop, students will have a foundational understanding of projection mapping workflows, experience creating their own mapped visual effects, and take home their foam structure to continue experimenting on their own.

As an added bonus, our workshop partner, HeavyM, is providing each participant with a complimentary two-week HeavyM Pro license, allowing students to continue learning, refining their projects, and exploring the creative possibilities of projection mapping after the workshop concludes.
