Description:
Do you want to get your hands dirty and learn how to make beautiful functional pieces you can use every day? Bowls, cups, and vases are great projects for beginners but students with more experience are just as welcome! Starting with wedging the clay to throwing on the potter’s wheel, this class is full of hands-on experience. Learn the techniques of making, finishing, and basic glazing skills. Novice students are welcome to join and will learn beginning techniques such as wedging, trimming, and glazing, while experienced students will receive a level of instruction relative to their artistic and technical goals. For beginning students, four weeks will give you a good taste of the wheel throwing experience but we do suggest enrolling in any two consecutive monthly sessions to give you the full, recommended learning experience.
