Description:
Nonfiction is the art of telling our true stories in creative, inventive, and therapeutic ways! Throughout this course we will dive into the art of creative nonfiction, working on essays, memoir-esque writing, types of journaling, as well as the art of editing and refining! In an open and welcoming environment we will explore this genre together through reading and examination, as well as doing the hard and life-giving work of putting our own thoughts, narratives, philosophies, and poetic utterances on paper. Nonfiction is a way in which we learn more about ourselves and how we take up space within our worlds! All levels and skills of writing are welcome!

Required age: 15 - 117 years old on the day of the activity
Notes: You will need whatever writing supplies you prefer. We will do some writing in class and you can do this on paper or on a laptop. You will write at home on your own time as well, so whatever you need for that.
Prerequisites: This class is great for novices or those who would like to expand skills from prior classes.
