Description:

In this hands-on workshop, kids will design and create their own functional, nature-inspired ceramic plate from start to finish. Using handbuilding techniques, participants will explore how to shape clay into a usable form while adding their own creative touches through texture and decoration. This class is a great introduction to working with clay, encouraging both creativity and an understanding of how everyday objects can be made by hand.

Notes: What happens next: After class, our team will carefully dry and bisque fire your piece in the kiln, then glaze it in a food-safe finish and fire it again. Your finished project will be ready for pick up in about 6-8 weeks, and we’ll email you when it’s ready.
