Description:
Learn the exciting art of stained glass by crafting your very own flat glass panel from start to finish. This skill based class provides a stong foundation for stained glass using the copper foil technique over two class sessions. You will have you choice of predetermined patterns plus a few seasonal patterns too. You'll be able hang your eye catching creation upon completion. Safety tips are discussed, as well as the common tools used. Day 1: In the first class, you will learn about glass types, how to score and break glass for complex pattern designs, grinding the finish shape, and applying copper foil. Homework: Most students do not finish grinding and foiling their pieces during the inital class. For those that need it, you will be able to join our Glass Open Studio session on Sunday from 1pm-4pm in between classes to finish.
