Your most extraordinary moments deserve a custom home. Join us in the wood shop for our newest workshop: building your own picture frame. 

Discover the fundamentals of woodworking in this hands-on beginner class! At the end of class, you will be able to showcase your art and hang it on the wall in a hand-crafted frame. Frames can be a great introduction to basic woodworking and for joinery exploration.

In this workshop, you will make an 8x10 (or smaller if you want a custom size) frame out of barnwood. You learn the techniques for both mitered and butt joints corners then choose one for your frame. lYou will learn how to safely use common tools in the woodshop, understand different types of wood, and master basic techniques to build confidence.

Refunds, Credits & Transfers

We understand that emergencies happen, so if you are unable to attend your class and you cancel with:

• More than 14 (fourteen) days notice before your class, you may request a full refund or transfer the full amount paid to another class.

• Less than 14 (fourteen) days notice before your class, your payment is non refundable. However you may transfer the amount paid, minus a 15% cancellation fee, to any class within 90 days of request. It is not guaranteed that a comparable class will be offered within 90 days.

• Less than 48 (forty eight) hours before your class begins, your payment is non refundable. It is extremely difficult to fill cancelled spaces with short notice.

• After class start date/time: No credits, refunds or prorating of fees will be given for missed portions or early withdrawals.

Changes or Cancellations

DIYcave reserves the right to cancel any class, limit class size, change class times or substitute instructors for those listed in the schedule. If a class is canceled, students may choose to receive a full refund or may transfer – with no fee – to another class or workshop. If DIYcave cancels for any reason, all payments can be refunded.

Required age: Over 12 years old on the day of the activity

Notes: Please arrive for class in closed-toe, closed-heel shoes with socks that protect up to the ankle. Long hair must be tied back. Layers are encouraged as the shop can be very cold or very hot. If you have personal protective equipment such as your own safety goggles, please bring it with you. Otherwise, protective gear will be provided as needed. Prerequisites: No Experience Needed! Ages 12+ welcome if accompanied by a parent/guardian. Both need to register and pay.
