Step into the colorful world of mosaics with this fun, beginner-friendly class! In this workshop, you’ll design and create your very own stained glass mosaic stepping stone—a beautiful and durable piece of art perfect for your garden, patio, or walkway.

We’ll guide you through the contact paper method, an easy-to-learn technique that makes it simple to design and arrange your glass pieces before setting them in stone. You’ll start by sketching your design, cutting and shaping colorful stained glass with mosaic nippers, and arranging everything neatly onto the sticky contact paper surface.

Once your design is complete, we’ll put it in the mold, then mix and pour concrete over it. After setting up for a couple days, they’ll be turned out and polished, ready for you to pick up and bring home to your yard or garden.

No experience necessary—this class is a great way to learn the basics of mosaic design while making a lasting garden keepsake. You’ll end up with a one-of-a-kind stepping stone, along with the know-how to make more on your own.

Required age: Over 14 years old on the day of the activity

Notes: Please arrive for class in closed-toe, closed-heel shoes with socks that protect up to the ankle. Long hair must be tied back. Layers are encouraged as the shop can be very cold or very hot. If you have personal protective equipment such as your own safety goggles, please bring it with you. Otherwise, protective gear will be provided as needed.
